The very thin band, for the first time mounted on a KZ shifter kart piston, drastically reduces the friction with the cylinder by 30% compared to the traditional 1mm segments and more than 10% compared to the 0.8mm segment pistons. Unquestionably this translates into an increase in performance.

It has also been tested and proved that the completely flat piston crown reduces the risk of detonation considerably, compared to pistons with a 4 degree inclination.
