Tony Kart Rookie EVS – MINI

The Tony Kart Rookie EVS is the chassis designed for MINI categories, developed through the collaboration between the OTK Kart Group R&D department and the Tony Kart Racing Team. The EVS version is intended for use with soft compound tyres, maintaining a proven, effective and easy-to-drive chassis geometry, suitable for both developing drivers and high-level competition.

The chassis is manufactured from chromoly steel with Ø 28 mm tubing, providing the ideal balance between rigidity and flexibility, which is essential in MINI categories. The 950 mm wheelbase, compliant with Mini Kart technical regulations, ensures stability, precision and excellent drivability.

Optimised driving position

One of the key updates is the forged aluminium pedal assembly, directly inspired by the Junior and Senior models. Its multi-adjustability allows precise adaptation of the driving position to drivers of different sizes, improving comfort and control. The cockpit is completed by a newly designed 3-litre fuel tank, whose optimised shape enhances driving comfort and reduces fatigue.

High-level components

The Rookie EVS features BMT4 stub axles, developed to improve front-end precision and feedback, combined with 235 mm steering rods. Magnesium hubs, both front and rear, reduce unsprung masses and enhance chassis responsiveness. Completing the package is an aluminium chain tensioner, mounted directly on the bearing support, ensuring precise and reliable adjustment.

Advanced aerodynamics with M9 bodywork

The Tony Kart Rookie EVS is equipped with the M9 bodywork kit, including a new-generation front spoiler and nose cone inspired by higher-category solutions. The M8 side pods and rear bumper, already homologated, remain unchanged. Aerodynamic efficiency is further enhanced by the new full-length floor tray, designed to reduce vortices and turbulence in a particularly sensitive area.

Optimised BSM5 braking system

The chassis is fitted with the CIK-FIA homologated BSM5 braking system, updated with 4A brake pads and a 149 mm floating brake disc. This setup provides consistent, progressive braking performance, perfectly suited to the needs of MINI categories.
