Tony Kart Rookie EVM – MINI

The Tony Kart Rookie EVM is the chassis designed for MINI categories, developed through the collaboration between the OTK Kart Group R&D department and the Tony Kart Racing Team. The EVM version is intended for use with medium compound tyres, maintaining a proven, balanced and progressive chassis geometry that ensures consistent performance and easy drivability across a wide range of track conditions.

The chassis is manufactured from chromoly steel with Ø 28 mm tubing, providing the correct balance between rigidity and flexibility, a key factor in MINI categories. The 950 mm wheelbase, compliant with Mini Kart technical regulations, delivers stability, precision and predictable handling, supporting driver development.

Optimised driving position

The Rookie EVM features a forged aluminium pedal assembly, directly inspired by the Junior and Senior models. Its multi-adjustability allows precise adaptation of the driving position to drivers of different sizes, improving comfort, control and feedback. The cockpit is completed by a newly designed 3-litre fuel tank, whose optimised shape provides a more natural and less tiring driving experience.

High-level components

The chassis is equipped with BMT4 stub axles, developed to enhance front-end precision and progression, combined with 235 mm steering rods. Magnesium hubs, both front and rear, reduce unsprung masses and improve chassis response and performance consistency. The package is completed by an aluminium chain tensioner, mounted directly on the bearing support, ensuring reliable and precise adjustment.

Advanced aerodynamics with M9 bodywork

The Tony Kart Rookie EVM is fitted with the M9 bodywork kit, including a new-generation front spoiler and nose cone inspired by higher-category solutions. The M8 side pods and rear bumper, already homologated, remain unchanged. Aerodynamic efficiency is further improved by the full-length floor tray, designed to reduce vortices and turbulence in a particularly sensitive area.

Optimised BSM5 braking system

The chassis uses the CIK-FIA homologated BSM5 braking system, updated with 4A brake pads and a 149 mm floating brake disc. This configuration delivers progressive, modular and consistent braking performance, perfectly suited to MINI categories running medium compound tyres.
